Engine Build Thread

I have had my block looked at by my engine builder
1. the head can be ported but only lightly
2. Cat Cams makes cams for our engine
3. The block sleeve are just like b16 sleeve; so running any more then 10 psi you will run it to problems
4. stock pistons and rods are not bad for what they are.
5. cryo treating or wpc treating rods and piston would be a better option then forged product based on the sleeve would go before the stock one would.
6. Stock hardware is weak (rod bolt and so on)
7. head gasket is ok
8. Crank is fine

Ok I am planning to rebuild my engine with in the year.( i have alot of miles)
I am going turbo of supercharger
I want the rebuild done at the same time as the turbo install so they break in together.
I am going to contact arp about getting stock replacement bolt made up for our engine.
Also a metal head gasket manufacturer about making head gasket for our engine.
Also may have a my a bored out t/b with new butterfly

I believe Josh (Gd3kamiwanab) was running higher than 10 psi for a while before he blew his motor.

When the motor did blow, it wasn't the sleeves...I believe it was a connecting rod shooting through the side of the block
