Burning smell on track: Coming from transmission/engine?

i have exactly the same problem. burning smell coming through the A/C when revving high. might take a trip to honda soon..

This thread is still alive and kickin'. I tracked the car later last year again and the smell was gone. So, I guess the reason was the quite new exhaust.

i went to the local honda garage near me and they told me the reason that there is a burning smell is because where the power cable for my amp goes through the firewall (through an existing rubber seal), the seal has torn and there is a slight hole meaning air from the engine bay can enter the cabin. Does this seem possible? They said they can fix it with some kind of liquid sealant for around $30..

Shoot it with silly string and take what is left in the can and shoot the dude who said he'd charge you $30..
