Anyone running the high-boost upgrade kit in Ontario, Canada?

I would hate to invest in the complete package and then to do the install only to determine that I can no longer drive my '07 MT Fit on the roads due to my inability to pass Ontario's eTest. Anyone have any experience with the full system and our eTest facilities? Will the car pass?

Was the front bumper custom made for the KraftWerks/Skunk2 Fit?

Anyone know if this front bumper was an aftermarket bolt-on or was it custom made for this KraftWerks project car?

Strut bar/intercooler

I was looking at the issue with this and I think there must be another way to route air on to the cooler with a little mods and fabrication. Dont want to cut up the hood unless I really have to. Looking at ideas to get air to it through to it through the stock air intake at the fender or where a cold air intake would sit? I am saving the cash and hope to buy the KWSC base kit and intercooler and injectors this spring.

Can anyone in Socal/LA county with the base or highboost kit + top mounted intercooler let me know their average intake temps while idling & driving around in suburban (not city driving like downtown LA) neighborhoods? I've been hitting up to 216F intake air temp these days just by myself in the car & the A/C on at setting 1-2, holding off the boost as much as possible.

I'm pretty set on getting the intercooler package very soon but would be cool to hear what kind of temperature reduction other people around this area are getting during this heat wave.

I would buy the base kit and the high boost kit and a second ecu. Then when you go for the E-test you can go to 5psi set up.

I'm on high boost and I would typically get 140-150F for air temps and my water temp would be 180-195F on the street in the valley (temp drop very low when driving down PCH).

Got my intercooler kit installed on my base A/T KWSC - took it out for a 100+ mile trip yesterday and I am very pleased by how well it works. Installation was a bit goofy because I have an A/T and there were some issues with receiving M/T parts/instructions but it was simple to solve once I found out something wasn't right.

Seeing an average 30-40F difference in IAT in both city driving and highway driving at moving speeds. On the highway at night I was getting 90-110F, and in the daytime I never broke the 150F mark as it kept going down to around 120-130F when normally I'd be hitting 150-160F.

This really should be a part of the base kit, it makes a huge difference in my opinion. Bravo Kraftwerks.

Yes you are right. I forgot about that, but not much of a issue for me since I am a Honda tech lol.

I agree with Koi.... The 5 PSI base kit suffers a big loss of power when the ambient temperature is above 90 F, especially in stop and go urban driving... I have noticed even with the high boost kit my intake temperatures are cooler under the same driving conditions than at 5PSI without the I/C.... The only times I see the temperatures rise is after driving at 70 or over and having to come to a complete stop. Once I'm moving again the IAT starts to come down again... Has anyone had experience with a methanol/water injection system and boost?

So again.... I ask... what will the kit do to the emissions? Will the car still pass eTests?

Anyone know?

Fortunately I live in a low income rural area where emission test aren't performed..... I am sure I would have problems otherwise.

None of us know, you best bet is to either contact Kraftwerks or wait for them to come in here and respond.

I still got my fingers crossed they will make a high boost kit of the auto Fits.

question about the KWSC is the SC a self contained unit, do you have to tap into the oil system of the car. if it is self contained how often does KW recommend you change the oil.how difficult is the install, would the car need to be tuned after,or does that hondata not sure what it is ECU maybe take care of the tuning end? heh sorry for all the questions.....gotta ask them cause its a $4500 gamble if in the long run it aint worth it
