Self contained, change traction oil every 2 years/50,000 miles

No tuning for base kit, high boost requires sending ECU to hondata

  • Self-contained oiling system. No tapping into the engine oil.
  • Rotrex oil is changed every 2 Years or 50,000 miles.
  • Installation instructions are available on our website.
  • No tuning required for the Base or High-Boost systems. Your factory ECU is reflashed by Hondata and shipped back to you in the High-Boost kit. Both systems are straight forward plug-n-play.

Is there any way currently or any plans in the long term for making these end-user tunable? Larger compressors or smaller pulleys and the ability to re-flash via laptop?

Is the Hondata Flash MAF/MAS based or Speed Density?

Speed density because it is still the stock computer box. No MAF on 1st gen Fit.

Unless Hondata gets real generous and releases both their interface cables and their own specialized software... user-level tuning is not gonna happen.

Have you tried emailing Kraftwerks to see if their kits work on your S2k?

They do, but I noticed that Nyther is from Netherlands. And depending on the difference betweeen the US and Netherlands' S2k, the kit might work there.

Thinking about this kit for my Fit, but what are the other California people going to do when smog check time rolls around? That's really the only thing holding me back.

Well since our Fits probably won't be smog'd till at the earliest is late next year, most of us aren't too worried yet (just hope you don't asked to pop your hood). I know that Kraftwerks is still working on getting their kits CARB'd, so hopefully by the time your first smog check comes, they will already have it.
