I've had the DC header for about fifty thousand miles and I love it. I don't know about hp gains, I've never dynoed my car. The butt dyno says its worth every penny ( and I bought mine used BONUS!) The VTEC sound doesn't change, and from I understand you can't hear the switch over anyway.

i bought a BNIB megan header for $40 a while back lol...
i put it so long ago that i forgot what the difference was from stock; however, i did feel an improvement - more balls after 4k rpm for sure.

seriously, anything is better than oem. the exhaust manifold's exhaust ports were so tiny that i couldn't fit my thumb into them.

I don't think there will be much improvement seen between the stock manifold and a header when placed on a dyno..... If headers and intakes made the power they claim they do I certainly wouldn't have put a super charger on my car. I am going to put a used Megan header on it to see what happens.

if you have the right intake I rate you can hear a VTEC changeover, header should affect exhaust note though?

the header made my exhaust (at the time) quieter, i don't know why but other fit freaks have confirmed the same thing... it's weird
i had a megan header, megan b-pipe, and apexi wsII

I've the T1R header and definitely felt an improvement.
Worth the money for me.
Sound wise it's a little bit louder.

Should pass the test as long as your cat is on. Won't pass the visual portion through.
