I used an L bracket from Home depot. I drilled a hole in the heat shield and another hole in the bracket. Then bolted both pieces to the L bracket and the L bracket holds the pieces together. Sorry I don't have a pic right now, my wife has the Fit today. I'll post a pic for you.

Wow that picture is huge! That's pretty much the same thing I did, it hasn't broken again since.

haha yeah, i didn't have the option to resize during upload. this bracket is 2-3x thicker so I don't think it will be breaking anytime soon.

Thanks guys on the posting of this. I was looking for an intake on my GD3. This one looks really good & was curious on the performance (hp, mph, quality, etc.) The bracket thing kinda scares me a little bit but nothing I can't fix in the future. I plan to contact AFE so see if they have reinforced the bracket since some have broken in the past. Cheers everyone.
