LOL What do you guys think about this intake?

Well i was puttin back my oem intake today, caz the ebay intake i had is makin me lose MPG. I got bored when i was changing it, so outta nowhere i was messing with the intake and did this

It sounds the kinda the same as stock, after all its a oem intake box

More air coming in maybe but it's all trying to fit through the same small hole.

But it is now by passing the rest of the intake tubing/snorkel

That is basically what I would do if I kept the stock tubing after the box.

I might add some vertical aluminum shielding to keep hot air from the radiator and engine block out of the intake path.

Otherwise well done!

It should improve response, but only as much as the DBW throttle will allow you to feel.

Less intake restriction simulates a charge density of a lower altitude.

As close as you can get to 0 inHg vacuum immediately behind the filter the better, and those cones have a great deal of surface area for their size. It also helps organize the flow a bit.

I'm not saying this is gonna make a ton of power, but for its simplicity it looks like a good mod. At least IMHO.
