New owner with mod question...

We just purchased an '11 Milano Red Sport with MT. I'm thinking of doing a couple of simple mods like wheels and throttle control to turn it into a fire breathing BEAST. Seriously though, just to make it a little more go-cart peppy and fun.

My question is what throttle control is the best fit for the Fit?

Thanks!

Mike

One quick question...

Something I've been wondering about these devices is, what's the difference between having the device and just pushing harder on the pedal? I've yet to read a thread where an installer didn't like the change. I'm just trying to fully understand the concept and mechanics. Thanks!

It modified the voltage for the throttle.. so say its on a 1 volt scale.. all the way down to the floor is is one volt.. now with the controller in you set it to sp7 (sport mode 7 highest one) and when you at 50% its all full throttle because it modified the voltage. Kind of like an safc when you tune boosted cars..make sense??

Yea, that's what I thought, it makes the throttle more sensative, sort of like having a narrower range rheostat on a lightbulb. It ultimately gets to the same brightness, but with less of a turn. Does it go to 11? Ya know, for when 10 isn't loud enough.

It pretty much does the same as a quick opening motorcycle throttle with a larger spool does mechanically... It is very helpful when having to jockey for an exit lane in heavy traffic or need to pull into fast or faster moving traffic from a stop or a slower moving lane. If you have a very loud exhaust the slower opening EC modes allow you to open the throttle more slowly and quietly... It can save you money at the pump or make your car more responsive, using mine either way depending on my frame of mind makes me happy that I have it.
