Tip - Header Spring Bolts
Hey all! I just got done installing a Strup 4-1 header on my GD3. I thought I'd post up a quick tip here. I've heard a lot of people end up with bent spring bolts for the connection between header/downpipe. I ended up in that situation. Most part stores told me they don't stock the spring bolts. If you find yourself in this situation, easy solution here.
Have your parts guy look for:
Walker part # 35129 - These are the actual direct fit bolts
OR if they don't have them, most Advance Auto Parts have a
"Dorman Help!" aisle.
Dorman part# 03128 for Chrysler 1999-82, Dodge 1999-78, Plymouth 1999-78 vehicles (fits exactly the same using your OE springs.)
If it helps further, the threads on the bolts are M8-1.25 x 74mm
Have fun!
