Debadge or Not?

I'm debating on removing the "FIT" from the rear. Or should I leave it? Just want to be a little different and never was too fond of badges. My last car "honda del sol" I removed the H (front and back) and the del sol badge when I had the car painted...

I have been considering the same thing.

One of the reasons I haven't gone through with it yet is I don't want people to think it is a new civic.

I think if there were more on the road and everyone knew what they were I probably would be more inclined to do it. It would probably look really nice and clean without badges.

I didn't find it hard. I used hair dryer and dental floss. Heat up the badge.. and then use the dental floss and move it back and forward. I would recommend using fish line instead though, dental floss broke 3 times.

Did any glue get stuck when you pulled the badge off? Im thinking about replacing mine with something, or maybe pulling it off entirely, but i dont want to have the big glue spot where the emblem used to be.

Well, I went ahead and debadged my fit. Took some dental floss and came right off. For the left over gunk, got some googone and that came right off. Then I waxed that area and its as good as new now. :-)

Now, I want to take the "H" off ....... Thats a whole different story,... probably won't worry to much about that considering I would probably need to take it to a body shop.

Just order the badge and stick it on simple as that.

Are the H emblems front and rear just glued on also, or are there pins or studs behind it that would leave an open hole in the body if removed?

The front H is just stuck on and the back has two studs that hold it on.

wd40 also works wonders to remove the goo after you remove the badge with fishing line.

the whole process, including letting it sit out in the sun, took about 10 minutes.

I removed my Fit badge a few days ago. Mine was a pain to get the residue off. I used WD40 as said above.

Looks way better without the badge.
