does any one know where i can get those stiff plastic shock absorbers so my license plate does not rattle ... my stock one where left on the oem tail gait and i don't want my carbon trunk to scratch

 

just stick some grey padded type tape on the back of your plate then screw it back on mine sounds fine now, im not exactly sure what the tape is called tho

you could either use:
a) something at home depot that has tar on it and it sticks to your car like dynamat( i heard its really cheap)
b) use a crap load of rubber bands and some ducktape( free rubberbands at the postal office)
c) go to elemental designs and buy a foot of there edead and stick it on like me.

 

I just put on a plate protector and put two plastic bolts/nuts in the bottom holes. No more rattle

 

my friend had some sound deadening foam and now i just need to find a way to adhere it to the body... so it dosnt fall off... you think emblem glue would work

 

i dont know. i thought the sound deadening foam was like rock hard once it dried. gorilla glue never fails.

 

Use the double sided tape, but only peel off the side to attach it to the plate frame or plate. From there I don't think you would have any rattling cause the tape is kind of paded.
