ok AJR just called me and the guy said he talked to his BOSS and they sent off the pics to spoon to see if i could get another one directly from spoon instead of going through AJR and then the shipping company.

they said they are "going out of there way to help me" which i dont see why it got to this point.

i asked for store credit instead and to call back tomorrow to see what happens after he talks to his boss.

You can try emailing Edmund at Opakracing. They're the US distributor for Spoon.

Alright just got off the phone again with Sam at AJR and Spoon said they would replace the item and that i would have to wait to see when the next batch would come in.

Finally i am relieved the matter is being resolved after going back and forth for so long.

thank you AJR

That is something I learned a long time ago.

Credit Card + paypal are the best ways to shop IMO.

Paypal with their reversal system, and the CCs with their money back guarantee.

Talking Make It Even More Custom

This Is What I'd Do If They Won't Send You A Replacement, And Even If They Will Just Tell Them You Want A Refund And Then Just Do This :
Get A Custom Spoon Sticker And Your Fits Nickname (any Sign Shop Can Make You One)make Sure That Its Die Cut And A Size You Like, Stick It On The Spoiler And Have The Corner Fixed With Epoxy Or Whatever It Takes, Then Color Match The Entire Spoiler To Your Car, Peel Off The Stickers And Have It Clear Coated, Install It And Your Done !!! Now Not Only Do You Have A Spoon Spoiler But It's Custom And Noone Will Want To Steal It Cuz It's Like You Engraved Your Name On It, I'll Post A Pic Of My Custom Hood On My Other Car (crx) That E V E R Y O N E That Sees It Comments On It, It's Just A Thought, And If You Can Get Money Back Then Your Way Ahead Of The Game

1) you cant return a special order item.
2) i bought the spoiler because it was "SPOON" and CF so i didnt want the color match
3) i dont want to spend another $150 to have it painted after i just spent $500
4) dont buy this spoiler
5) if someone wants it bad enough they will steal it regardless if it has any
engravings on it.

its a good idea but this spoiler is a joke. could have spent my money on something else

yeah i know man this shit is just retarded.

bolts are also 2 different sizes. one is kinda long and the other is small.

the nuts are caped on the end so when you thread it down on the spoiler it doesnt go down all the way cause it stops.

damn man, bad news again huh. sorry to hear that. i hope everything works out in the end for you.

i don't think AJR was going too far out of their way to help you. you're their customer so they should be glad to assist you. if they expect to sell products and not have to deal with customers' problems then they are mistaken.

i also hate getting the run-around and playing phone tag in these situations, especially when other people just keep brushing things off and not returning phone calls. In the past, i had to play phone-tag with AJR too. someone would say "we'll call you back in ~30 minutes." then a day would pass and nobody would call me, so i'd call them back. this happened more than once. i don't know maybe they were busy, but even then, i don't think it's good practice for a business to make a promise and then forget about it. everything worked out in the end but i believe they could have made the process a more pleasant one. would i still do business with them in the future? probably yes.
