New Fit owner in CT

We just purchased a light blue (Tidewater Blue?) 2010 Fit base with 52,2XX miles on it and it's mainly for our 16yo daughter to drive. First time Honda owner and pretty impressed with the build quality of the vehicle. The car is not mint, it has a few minor scrapes here and there, but mainly on the rear bumper cover. Previous owner is a 95yo woman who can't drive anymore since having a stroke. Other than a car alarm that was installed for keyless entry, and I have since removed, the car is stock.

The factory radio had to be reset because previous owner installed a new battery and didn't know how to do the reset. I have an android gps unit on order so will be yanking it when it arrives. Fan was only blowing on the highest setting so a new blower motor, blower motor resistor, cabin filter, and it's running like new. Those were pretty much the only issues and got the car for much less than what local sellers are asking with mileage over 100k miles and up.

So far, thanks to youtube and this site, I bought two CRV keys off ebay and programmed them for keyless entry. Funny how Honda put everything there except the remote fobs. Because programming the keys looked so simple I ordered a remote start that uses OEM remote lock pressed 3x at the same time I ordered the keys. I did get a little concerned when I couldn't program the keys late at night out in the driveway which meant I couldn't install the remote start until I had an operable OEM remote. The next evening I pulled the car inside the garage and successfully programmed the keys and installed the remote start, cause winter is coming. While I was at it, I disabled the DRL by pulling the fuse.

The only mod I have planned is retrofitting the headlights with a set of FX-R 3.0 projectors. Having retrofitted a few headlights and messed around with ebay plug and play hid kits, I can't recommend the FX-R 3.0 projectors enough. Using D2S AGT bulbs made in Germany and Denso DDLT002 ballasts, you get almost instant on light and a nice wide beam that illuminates three lanes on the highway. I'll try to post a separate thread when I get them done.
