I'm baaaaack!

I'm back after 11 years.
So I originally had a 2009 Fit Sport Auto - I sold it a long time ago...

Now I just bought a 2007 Fit Sport Auto with only 68K miles on it.
It's in really great shape and the engine and trans seem to be in tip top shape.

I've gone through a lot of cars since then, most notable a Kia Stinger GT2 AWD. That thing was a hoot.
Sold it to save some money for my two kids in college.

Now I have a 2020 Kia Soul, my 2007 Fit Sport, 1999 CRV, 2001 CRV, 1996 Del Sol, 2015 VW Beetle TDI.

I will be , pardon the saying, selling my soul ASAP so I can just drive the Fit.
I'm saving up for a Stinger 2.5L Turbo in a year or two. I think I'll be keeping my fit for work trips.

My plans are to install an Apple CarPlay head unit in - as soon as Amazon delivers my parts.
That's about it. I love the car.

So here she is!

Here is my list of improvements so far:
I have installed Katana LED headlights and fog lights - the look fantastic and are way brighter and better than the old lights.
Replaced air filter and cabin air filter.
Installed a Sony XAV-AX1000 head unit with Apple CarPlay. A must have since I'll be travelling for work.
Fixed the two long black rubber pieces on the roof - covers the weld seams. (that was a long process) Shin-Etsu and heat and hanging them with a weight on the bottom to straighten them out. I also used some powerful spray headliner adhesive to make sure they stay nice and tight in the grooves. They look marvelous now!
Installed LED interior lights - the flat panel type that really brighten it up!
Changed the oil with Costco/Kirkland 0W-20 with a Napa Gold filter.
Sprayed silicone in all the window tracks.
Took Honda Shin-Etsu silicone grease and used a Scotchbrite pad to gently clean and preserve the side rubber under the side windows. They are starting to look like new again.
Also used Shin-Etsu on all the rubber seals around the doors and hatch and under the hood seals. It really softens them up and makes them like new again. Plumps them up.
My brother gave me his old ScanGuage so now I am about to mount that with some velcro on my dash.
RainX on all outer window surfaces.
Bought an armrest from Amazon - works pretty well....
It's overall in fantastic shape and I look forward to driving her around for a long time.
I never knew how much I missed driving the little Honda Fit. Comparing it with the 2020 Kia Soul - the Fit is just more fun! Lighter and more agile. Jumps off the start at lights. The Soul has a CVT and feels numb in comparison.

I'll take some shots of the interior and the engine bay too.

Here's a pic of the engine bay after a little tidying up...

Anyone know how to clean the aluminum intake runners. They look terrible!

Congrats! She's a beaut. I'm looking at purchasing an armrest for my '07; which one did you purchase and how do you like it?
