Currently working this.

I am currently having problems with a intermittent p1659 code. No solution yet, did you figure it out?

Me too

Bought an OBDLink MX+. Used it with the OBDwiz application (and windows 10) that came with it. It picked up a P1659 DTC. I don't have the Malfunction Indicator Light showing in the car's the instrument cluster (2015 Fit LX CVT).. OBDwiz claims this codes means the car won't pass emissions testing. I haven't noticed anything unusual about the way the car works. This code is for "Electronic Throttle Control System Control Relay OFF Malfunction" according to this page. The throttle seems to operate properly. I haven't done any further investigating yet. Supposedly the fact that the code starts with the number 1 right after the P for "power train," means that it is a "manufacturer specific" code.

Faulty Electronic Throttle Control System (ETCS) Relay Read more: https://www.autocodes.com/p1659_honda.html

You need a relay , acceleration on mine when much smoother than before. These cars are notorious to keep you going without codes. Mine had idle issues and never put out a code. Everything was fine says mechanics.
