Hey guys!

My name's Nick and I just recently came into ownership of a brand new '08 NHBP Fit Base model with Manual Transmission. I decided to go with the base over the sport for several reasons...

a: I don't own an MP3 player (thus negating the AUX jack)
b: The aero kit that comes on the fit is clean looking, but I'd like to choose my own styling...if I do any aero styling at all
c: 2 extra speakers/40 extra watts....whoopdy doo
d: How many people have ever used cruise control on Lake Shore Drive?

I originally bought the Fit because I told myself I was done with cars. That it was time to just buy a car that was good on gas and blah blah blah blah blah... (Previous builds include a '98 Prelude Type SH and a '91 Toyota MR2 Turbo)

Now I'm pricing out Short ram intakes, an Apex'i WSII axle-back, and some miscellaneous things like eyelids, Grille, JDM tail lights (ordered last night), etc... the affliction goes on.

I'll post some pics of my Fit once I get my camera working again.

Scrubs is, imho, the best sitcom to come out on network TV...bar none. Now that it's done with I spend most of my free evenings subjecting my girlfriend to 3 hour Mythbusters marathons muahahahahhahaha.

I actually have a few questions for everyone...

1: is it possible to install factory / factory compatible TPMS sensors in non-honda wheels? (ie. Rota auto-x's)

2: has anyone installed the honda factory portable navigation unit attachment kit? I just ordered it and, while the install looks straightforward though somewhat involved, I just wanted to see if there were any big problems anyone had with it.

3: I absolutely LOVE the look of red and black together...so has anyone tried installing the red headlight housings on a black fit? I'm curious to see what it would look like without coughing up the $400 it would cost me. Black housings look good on all colors...but how would red look on a black car....? Hmmmmmm. Maybe someone in Northern IL, Southern WI, or Northwest IN would be interested in a trade?

That's all I can come up with now.

 

1: yes you can put the tpms on any wheel you can either swap out the ones from your stockies to your new rims or you can just get new ones. I don't know if anyone has done a DIY on that tho. I know there is one on youtube somewhere.

2: I think so don't know for sure tho.

3: I honestly hate the MR headlights so I don't think it would look good and I have a nhbp too so I can't help you much there. I like my black and red wheels

 

Welcome to the site. I wish I was local, I would trade you headlights in a heartbeat! I also bought my fit thinking I would leave it pretty stock, and got bit by the tuning bug again. Now my Supra turbo just sits lonley in theh garage.
