Has anyone tried installing an Aux input adapter like these on an '08 fit base model:

I'm not sure if they are compatible because some websites say they are and others say no. It seems like they would be compatible because it would connect to the 14-pin input on the back of the factory stereo. I know that I can reach behind the stereo from the glove box. I want an easy way of installing and aux input not like what I've seen on this forum

This is too involved especially since I can reach behind the stereo to the 14-pin input without taking apart anything.

Your base models don't have the aux input?
All models of the Fit in Canada have this feature.

 

I installed an aftermarket mp3 player/aux port using the CD Changer port on the back of the HU in my 08 Base Fit. The port is the HON03 variety. My thread is here:

I helped another fitfreaker install an IPOD interface using the same port. Both worked great. I can't talk to all the features on those specific units since I haven't used them but the plug will be compatible with your Base Fit.
