Talking New to the forum

Hi guys!

New on the board from Qc Canada...

Bought a GE8 (2009 Fit Lx MT5 with 70k km on it) last month and I love it!!!

I'm reading the forum since then and I'm joining today because I need some advices

Yesterday I was cruising on the highway at 80km/h (workzone) and suddenly I heard a small but really clear "Bang" as if I just hit something on the road (which I didn't) and my little Fit started to make a lot of noise as if it turned out to Diesel on steroids and it came with a major lose of power and lose of speed and no possibilities to keep my speed...

I pulled over and popped up the hood to look if something obvious could be seen and the engine was dancing all over the place with a rumble I never heard from Hondas... Didn't find anything obvious under the hood and got to get it towed to Honda dealership (not the one I got it from, I was pretty far from home and didn't want to pay the towing for a 100km tow)... but if that is known symptoms to a known problem I could use the saved money from fixing it by myself instead of letting it done by the stealership

I don't know yet if you guys got a sub-forum for Problems with our Fit... if so let me know and I'll start a post for my problem...

Let me know...

Thanks in advance for you help

Finally it appears to be a spark plug which decided to pop off bringing all threads with it!!!

So they are going to remove the head and get it rethreaded

Glad it should pass on the extended global warranty...
