thank you for the help and that was it but didn't solve my problem. I had my moms car not start and acted like fuel pump was bad so changed it out and it started and ran great for a week or so and then wouldn't start but after it sits awhile it will start up run a day or so and then not start and then start . (First I did put a cheap fuel pump on it cause was all I could afford ) was told it maybe relay but changed it out same problem! so not sure if its cheap fuel pump , been told maybe a bad ground , or ecm making it do this ! It did get a check engine error so going to autozone to see what it is right now. but any help would be appricated

Hondas fuel pumps are damn reliable.... In my 13 years at this dealer I can count on one hand all the truly bad Honda pumps I have replaced and have several fingers left over.

If in doubt one could have tested fuel pressure to confirm if there was a fuel supply problem that needed further investigation.

See what codes it has first. Don't buy their shopping list, just get the code numbers and do your own investigation.

thank you and I'm sure you are right about the pump but to late for old pump it got tossed but seemed bad . But here where I am at now the engine codes were mis fires at cyl 1,2,3 and a small evp leak I believe . I took assembly out again and found where power wire plugs into top assembly and wire that goes straight to fuel pump burned connection on top and even melted it some causing a hole so guess that's where small evp leak is coming from and mis fires . But it wasn't burned first time I took it out , so not sure what to do and I guess buy a new assembly cause it wont hold pressure in tank with hole and not sure if I feel safe fixing wire since its inside tank and its my moms car . Thank you for your help I really not sure next step cause don't want to ruin a new assembly $300
