Help with A/C issue!!!!

As typical with Fit's, mine blows hot while idling in the sun, and cold while idling in the shade, cold while driving. Cant seem to figure out why.....both fans work, coolent topped up, supposedly shop says freon level is fine...but when compressor comes on there is a knock.....just one noticeable lock when turning on, and it seems one knock when turning off....weird.... any ideas on all of this ya'll. Its a 2010 Fit Sport with 130k....thanks in advance.

The loud CLICK is the compressor clutch engaging. Totally normal.

IMO undersized AC system. It's just too small for the size of the car. I think the manufacturer wanted it this way for fuel economy though.

On top of that, it can take a damn long time to get decent vent temperatures when the interior of the car is almost 200*F from sitting in the sun. You gotta cool down the dash and ductwork before the vent temps will stay low.

If the car is a dark color, just sitting in the sun can generate more cabin heat than the system can efficiently cool, especially at idle.
