i think JDMchris has gloss blk painted headlight. Anyway i should paint my fog light surround too.
Chris's headlights are the factory ones, so I would do the flat black unless you plan on purchasing a set of OEMs and replacing yours with the OEM black ones. Either way it looks good IMO. George02 is coming from AZ to Vegas next month, so we should plan something for when he will be out here as well.

I was really worried mine were going to come out bad. I think mine look almost perfect. The passenger side looks fine in the housing, when it wasnt installed it looked rough. Little fuzzies were stuck in the paint.

When I installed it I didnt notice it. No one else has either.

I love the way your car looks, congrats. I'm not a big fan of tint for legal reasons but it looks great.

Thanks. The plastic does get hot really easily. I have some ideas for the next time that I do it to make them look even cleaner. The only way that you would know that it's not perfect on the plastic is if you popped the hood and looked at it.

Dude, you should see mine!! Its all chewed up. I also couldnt get the plastic cover/glass back in perfect as OEM so I have little gaps around my headlights and fender. Looks a little better with the little gap though.

When I open my hood no one points it out. So far so good, no leaks or moisture inside the headlights. Ive pressure washed them too as a check. Thank God it didnt leak, that would have been a lot of water.

this is probably the coolest simple mod you can do on a TW Fit!
What materials were used when you put it back together? And for those of you that did it in the oven...what temp. did u set the oven to and how long?

all you need is a heat gun. its pretty simple, the plastic gets really soft so try not to mess with the sides too much? pick one side and pull it apart (its gonna need some elbow grease to pull it apart)

I would think the oven would be a better way to go...more uniform heating of the seals, and all.

And it looks great. I like the color matched look of my headlights in TW, though. Only thing I'll add...you should have taken out the amber/yellow covers while you were in there.

I would go with the oven as well. Did the same thing to my WRX headlights and they came out perfect. I was thinking of trying this with my fit and now I know it works the same.

thanks guys.

250 degrees for about 10-12 minutes should be good. Check on it from time to time.

How would a red fit look with flat black headlights and flat black Honda symbols on each end?
