HID bulb question

Ok, I need some help from you HID guru's on here. The quad I'm looking to buy runs the same headlight bulbs as our Fit's do. I'm not real sold on a HID kit for the Fit due to glare and the like, but would like to get one for the quad. I'm not real concerned about blinding trees or wildlife lol

My question is this, are the HID bulbs longer then stock halogen bulbs? I'm a little concerned about clearance in the housing and didn't want to have to retrofit the housings unless I have to. If the bulbs are roughly the same size, then I'm in good shape. Any help or info is appreciated. Thanks!

if it is a h4 bi xenon bulb, it will be slightly longer due to the metal shield around the bulb. I have this bulb in my stock headlights and fits without any problems, and it still has some space left before hitting something

yes, they are longer, by about a half an inch. My question would be about the battery in the quad... Is the quad running a 12v system?

Ok thanks for the info. I thought they were a little longer and slimmer due to the type of bulb. I'll have to take a look and see if there's enough room. Yea the quad is running a 12v system. I've seen people do the HID thing before, but it might just be better to get a brighter halogen bulb due to all the bumps and jarring the bulb will go through....Not sure about that as I honestly don't know enough about HID lighting to make that determination. I guess if the bulbs won't fit, that will kind of be the deciding factor.
