retrofit mini/beetle headlights?!!?!?

it seems pretty easy since the two are basically round enough to cut off and shove in the Fits light hole...
plus im sure there are a good amount of beetle lights floating around for cheap..(yes/no?)
i wanna put some projectors in the fit, but something a bit more OEM than the FXs,.-- i FREAKING LOVE (my opinion) the Q45's lights but those are wwwaaayyy over priced for me to "give it a shot" lol

im thinking since the beetles lights are fairly close to being vertical inside that if i mount it with the bottom flush with the Fit reflector's original postion and have the top be set in like an inch or 2...

im not sure if that makes any sense, but the black box is the fit's assembly from the side.. and the green is the beetle part sunk in.. front of car is to the left...

basically all i would be changing is the round part, and maybe throwing some driving/parking leds (again with the leds - enough already haha ) in the bottom section (on the beetles..)
heres a pretty poopy example-- my skills are VERY rusty

heres the pic on the bug if you cant stand the sight of that one i made- i cant look at it too long myself

soo.. what do you think should i "give it a shot?"

Great idea, but it will be a lot harder to get those fitted than you think. If you have the time and resources you should give it a shot. Just take a look at the actual beattle headlights first to see if they may fit or not.

lol I didn't think you were dissing my retrofit...it's good to be different. I was just making sure you didn't just go and get the beetle headlights and then find out it doesnt fit or something. That would suck....but if they can fit a Q45 projector in there I don't see why you wouldnt be able to fit that beetle projector and everything else inside the headlight. There is a lot of space to work with in the back of the headlight if you need to modify it.

im just not getting how if i were to try -- how to get the vw parts to "stick" to the fits parts?
i guess duct tape. NO haha
i dont think ill get this going anyway just doesnt seem worth the effort bc i can picture it a failure already

(insert fail-boat pic here)
