another question: i can't tell, inside the lights (the housing), is it like matte dark gray paint? and does it look good with the car's paint? -thanks man
I think it looks good. They are smoked chrome inside. Not an exact match for the silver, but close. Have only had compliments on them in person and I have some picky friends.

Those are great looking but far from legal. And as posted earlier, just because something has a DOT stamp on it does not make it legal. Most people fall for this thinking. Chances are you probably wont have any problems, but all it takes is one PITA cop and there is a ticket. And all of the aftermarket tails have the same fit issues as far as extending the wiring and having to grind away to get the reverse light sockets to fit.
Hey do you have the issue with these where when you step on the brakes the front sidemarker and dash lights come on? Or did you do the fix and add a diode?

LOL...no issue with other lights on the car. Thank goodness. I would have ripped them back out and smashed them into little pieces. I was mad enough about the fitment issue.

If a cop wants to get picky, he can write up all kinds of tickets for our car. Tint over third brake light, illegal tint, illegal tails, HID's, etc. At least they are all non-moving violations Last time I was pulled over in it, the cop was more interested in the speed I was going through the mountains and didn't care about the other stuff

I am on my 2nd set of the same style lights you have, just the ones where they are black inside and have the red stripe in back. Stripe is barely noticeable to me, but anyway my first set fit like crap, had to do all sorts of grinding and such. Second set went right in and fit just as snug as the OEMs, go figure.
