Installing OEM style fog lights on BASE MODEL?

Has anyone done this install? I wouldn't doubt it if there's a write-up somewhere here on the forums...but I just can't find it. I know that they come with an install guide, but I was just hoping for someones first-person perspective on it. Is it a difficult install? Any information provided would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

i saw the write up somewhere around here.. it looks identical as my civic, which took about 1-2hours with a difficulty of a 6 out of 10. the oem kit brings the new turn signal stem and the aftermarket one bring a push button that goes into the blank spot next to the side view mirror switch.

ok, found a few write-ups and I'm excited to get started...but I need the fog lamps first.

Has anyone tried any OEM knockoff foglights? I don't want to spend more than I have to (obviously) and $90 for OEM style fogs sounds a lot better than $240

The Honda kit for the Base fit does NOT have a new turn signal stem. Since all the controls on the Fit are within arms length (no leaning!!!) I don't mind having the switch on the dash.

where did people buy their fog lights from? i want the OEM ones, but 250 compared to like 80 for ebay knock offs is tempting. just want to make sure that the fit and come with the appropriate templates.

I got my Honda fog kit from bernardiparts. collegehillshonda also has great prices. If you like forum sponsors, zetaproducts has the JDM knockoffs.

do the ones from zeta come with the template??

i was more worried about the ebay ones that said "no modification required" as I want them to sit where they are supposed to sit, which means cutting the bumper out

thanks

FWIW, I will be reciving the Zeta fog light kit in the mail this Friday but will be putting it up for sale. I'll be honest, I bought the kit strictly for the black housings because I F'd mine up when painting them and got pissed off and ordered the Zeta kit. Well, I figured with Zeta located in NJ and me in PA, the kit should have been here in 2-3 days but it somehow got shipped from Cali instead. So....I repainted my housings again and all is well. I will post a FS thread once I receive the kit and can comment on the quality.

If possible, let us know if the Zeta kit housings are identical to the stock. If they're the same, we could save a bundle on replacing cracked lenses.

Thx RG
