Cost To Install Interior Lighting Kit

Does anybody know what it costs to have a professional install the interior illumination kit? The directions say it's not for "Do-It-Yourselfers" but that may just be a warning so they can cover their liability. Is it really important that a professional install it?

honestly i would rather buy some 20 dollar strip of leds and throw it in under the dash
and hook it up to a 12v source
and it will be much brighter than the OEM kit and CHEAPEr also!
