Thumbs up High beam and fog light problem....

Hello everyone, I have a 2008 honda fit sport.

As many of you know, OEM fog lamps will illuminate only when I turn on my low-beam (and high beam) with fog lamps in the "ON" position.

However, yesterday I just noticed that, when the fog lamps are in the "ON" position, while hi/low beams off, and I start flashing my high beam, my fog lamps light up as well.... is this normal? or something's wrong with teh electric. correct me if i'm wrong, but i thought it's only the high beam that gets turned on (and not the fog lamps) when flashing my high beams.

This sounds like a pretty dumb question, but I just wanted to make sure that nothing's wrong with the electrics, thanks.

Well, see the stock foglights are only supposed to turn ON when the headlights are in the on position and the low beam is on. If you flash your high beams, the foglights are supposed to turn off. That's stock from the factory.

Have you done any mods like the independent foglight mod? did u buy ur car used and the previous owner could have modified it like this? If what i'm reading is correct, your lights are working improperly without some kind of modification.

Thumbs up

ahhhhhh i see.

you just reminded me on the HID installation... maybe that's what it is since flashing my high beam is pretty much like flashing my low beam (after my HID installaion i lost my hi beam), and that's why the fogs are on....

i kinda miss my high beam... is halogen high beam considered brighter than the HID low beam?

Well they are doing two different things. the HID low beam is aiming downwards, where as the halogen high beam is aiming upwards. But brightness wise, the HID is brighter then halogen, just the light is more scattered compared to the halogen and being focused correctly.
