I turn on the headlights, the HID's start to warm up and then they shut of, I turn off the headlights on the stalk, turn it back on and they turn on just fine.


It seems like the car cant provide the HIDs the power it needs to warm up?

 

You should install a relay, go to your local Autozone and buy the one hanging around the fog light section. Im pretty sure the stock wiring is cheap and the ballast demands too much from the stock setup. Im no wiring guru so I really dont know why this is necessary but it will fix your problem.

 

I already have a relay installed. Im thinking the relay may be bad.

 

i had this problem i took it back to the shop i bought them (life time warrenty) and the guys said i just got a bad kit so wit new ballast i tried it again and it works just fine, later on i found a loose fuse so i fixed it but ya just get a new set

 

usually a ballast issue
