I just added a strip of butyl to the exisiting butyl. I put it right in the center of the crack to make sure it was consistent through the whole edge of the headlight. Most importantly, make sure that when you push it back together all the screws and clips go back on and you know you are good to go.

 

Just use transparent black model paint over the chrome. Same effect as black chrome and no adhesion promoter needed. You see people use in their tail lights all the time to get the smoked effect.

TL projectors would be amazing but I'm looking for something simpler. The Morimoto projectors are basically plug n play.. Thanks for the offer though.

 

That they are, which is why I'm probably going with FX-Rs. I need to go a little extreme.
