I have a 2012 Honda Fit and i purchased this kit Bi-xenon Morimoto Mini Stage III Kit (D2S) - Complete Retrofit Kits from The Retrofit Source Inc

to retrofit and i was curious if anyone had a DIY for the D2S.

My question is can I paint the reflector and projector cover black? And do you having aiming advice

 

The reflector can be painted because when you install a projector it is then useless. As for the shroud, it can be painted as it's purely aesthetic. I recommend a plastic primer and then an automotive-grade flat black spray paint.

As for aiming, the rotation is set using the H4 adapter. For vertical alignment, I recommend parking about 25 feet back from a standard passenger car (Fit, Accord, Camry, etc.), and aiming the cutoff at the bottom of the side mirrors, so you know you're not blinding most cars.
