What brand HID?

Hey guys,

I wanna start looking into installing HIDs on my Fit, but have no idea where to start. Thought a good place to begin would be by asking what kits have any of you successfully installed?

How do they look/perform? Difficulty of the install? Anything eles I need to know?

Any help would be awesome, thanks!

err...invest in a quality retrofit with projectors.

don't just buy a $200 ebay kit and plug that sucker in thinking you're gonna have amazing lighting. Glare central for on comming traffic...

Though with am much glare that comes off of those retarded Denali, Escapades and Navigatards people might not notice...god they're horrible.

i thought our halogen reflectors in the fit have a decent cut off?

I do agree projector retrofit would be the best results but most people don't want to pay $1000+ on lights.

aiming them lower will help reduce the glare in stock housings. On my Titan I have them pointed down. geez some halogen users have them pointed up in my eyes and i have a 10inch lift.

But HID bulbs, as I'm sure you are aware, don't use the same pattern reflectors as halogen bulbs. Some cars can get away with it...but MOST are just awful..and with the amount of shielding required to reduce glare...I'm not sure night time driving will see an improvement.

you get what you pay for....

yes i'm aware of it and I agreed with you on your points.

reading a few posts about HID bulbs in stock fit housings, it wasn't as bad as others. I think you're experience has been with domestics (Denali, Escapades and Navigatards ) as you stated. those housings have zero shielding. My nissan titan has some so it's not as bad as far as glare.

Now as far as driving, those HID of mine brightens up the road soooo much. I had driven my wife's uncle's titan w halogens and the difference is day and night. I had run over something and got a flat in his truck but I know if i had my truck that wouldn't have happened.

RCANTU, which brand are you using? Of all the pics I've seen with HID kits in stock housing in the FIT looks really good. It looks like reflector HID housing seen in the prius or G35 (pre-projector year). My friend has the civic SI with an HID kit and the cut off is HORRIBLE, it simply doesn't exist. The stock housing scatters everywhere.

guys:

I bought these off from ebay and I will tell you that I do NOT like how the Bi-xenon works on it. the little slider doesn't really work well as for as beam pattern and I've been playing with the wiring harness like crazy. Now I have to take off the entire bumper to get to everything. It's a PITA.

so avoid your heartache and pass on this vendor.

No ebay bi-xenons are usually a sleeve that's electronically controlled by a servo to slide back to give off a sort of High beam effect.

They usually break after 3 months, give off horrible lighting and are basically complete junk.
