How much space under front seats?

Mine hasn't come in yet so I can't measure this myself, but I'm already looking into the upgrades.... I've seen some low-profile amps that are only 1 3/4" high. Any chance they might fit under the front seats? In my current civic, I put a new floor in the hatch area with a hinged door to get to the spare tier compartment and mounted the amp to that floor, but I'd like to avoid that this time around, if possible.

Thanks in advance....

You're killin' me.... In my civic, I at least had enough room for the satellite radio receiver.

yeah that's the first thing i noticed when i got in my Fit. i was like, wtf?!?!? there's this bulge poking against the seat. i normally make a small tray/drawer underneath the front seat to put random stuff in, but now i can't.

That´s because the fuel tank is actually under the front seats to make room for the "magic seats" at the back. You can still fit an IPOD under te seat jajaja

I was barely able to fit a CD folder full of discs under my driver seat. One of those two discs per page deals that hold 24 CDs. (I'd be screwed if the Fit Sport didn't play mp3s) I would say it's a little over one inch thick...

So there really isn't much room.

Wow! I'm surprised there's such little room under the seats. I have like 2.5"-3" under the seats of my g7a. I've gotta see this for myself when I take my GF to test drive a Fit on Thursday.
