EP Civic Si seats?

my friend has a 2002 Civic Si. He might be getting some racing seats soon. I would LOVE Civic Si seats in a fit. Does anyone know if it has been done before?

They both have side airbags(EP3)...I'd like to see if you could still keep those working with the swap.

as long as the seats match up to the Fit brackets. Any seat with fit with any car as long as you have a compatible slider or bracket. If anything you can just get customs brackets to work with the Fit. Shops usually charge about $150 or so for the sliders. Your getting free seats anyways. GL

I use to own an EP3. I suggest you make sure the little red circle in between the headrest is secure. sometimes it came lose and it was a pain in the ass getting it back in.

I use to own an EP3. I don't believe they came with side airbags. It was sort of like a racing seat.

One bit of advice. Take it from someone whose driven the EP3 for over a year. Those seats are nice looking and all, but they aren't very grippy. If you want real racing seats, that will hold you in place. You can get a Seibon (Carbon Fiber) Racing seat for only 500 Bucks (Shipped)

ShowStoppersUSA.com Trust me, i did alot of business with them, they are awesome. Free Shipping!

I know they added side airbags later on the EP3 SI's because a few I test drove had them...so I suppose they didn't all come with them...was it an option?

Racing seats are nice...but I question the long term quality of their cushioning and the durability of their covers.

Well, Considering how much you are probably going to get them for. I was gonna sell both my fronts for 500. Now those Seibon Carbon Fiber seats cost 500 EACH. Now if you are just looking for a little flash, thats cool. the EP3 Seats are for you. But if you want Car-Show quality seats that everyone will be dazzled by, AND want to be planted in your seat, get the Seibons.

Side bags were a option on the Si. The Fit being so compact brings side bags as a standard option to help with side impact....

New seats

These arrived at my door step today after work

And guess what Brown did for me

They cracked the seat base, side cover, recliner knob, and the tilt lever was missing(not sure where it went). Marc at AMS was pretty cool about it, told me he will send it back to Recaro asap for repair and he'll deal with UPS, thumbs up for him

BTW STILL NO FIT... WTF and my wheels are coming in this week.. sigh

Have fun installing your recaro. What kinda seat rail did u get?

I'm using FO type rails with my Recaro SPG on the Fit. Glad to get rid of the POS stock seat that's even heavier than the stock EM1 SiR seat I had before.
