Blinking side mirrors

I've heard that our side mirrors and the civic's side mirrors are the same fit. If so, is it possible to take the side mirrors from the civic hybrid and get the blinkers on them?

I have both the new civic hybrid and the FIT. I will put them side by side and take a pic. Will also measure them. It will be a few days before I can post any pics since it will be late and dark when I get home tonight. I'll have something up by Friday.

opps I totally forgot about this thread.

So I did take photos and took measurements. Both mirror are similar in size. The civics is a little larger. It looked like you could bolt it up.... but with out taking the mirrors off and trying I can't say for sure. A big question would be if the electrical connections are the same. Other wise you would have to custom make a harness. Since the base of the mirror is about 1/2" larger than the FIT's does the bolt pattern match up also?

Honestly I don't feel like removing the mirrors to test it.

ohh and if you look closer I posted two month ago not this week

Ill find the pics I took a few months ago and post them later so you can see the side by side comparision

Has anyone tried the 2006 to 2001 Civic Hybrid mirrors on their 2007-2008 GD Fit? I think I'm gonna bite the bullet and buy an aftermarket Civic one to see if the mounting bolts are in the same position as the Fit mirror.

If it works, Rock Auto has some OEM aftermarket Civic Hybrid mirrors that auto fold, turn signal & heated. Only thing missing would be built in puddle lights and then it would be perfect, lol.
