I got this on ebay, and it was listed as new, but to me it looks like the 2 points on the panel at the top in the picture, where the HVAC controls will mount to this, look broken. Anyone with experience with these can you confirm this for me? I'd hate to get all the way to the point of putting this back together and not be able to finish the job. There were 2 small pieces broken off in the box that look like they line up with those 2 points. Any help is appreciated.

 

those are alignment pins. Kit is still good, just when you transfer your HVAC controlls you'll have to line them up yourself before tightening the screws.
