ODS/SRS communication protocol (removing passenger seat)
Does anyone know what protocol is used between the ODS module and the SRS ECU and how to bypass it? I want to remove the passenger seat for cargo space and keep the SRS happy (no warning light, no DTC). There are 4 connectors under the seat. I've only found bypass solutions for 3.
(1) side airbag: 2 ohm resistor
(2) lap belt tensioner: 2 ohm resistor
(3) seat belt buckle switch: ground the "unbuckled" input
(4) ODS module: I scoped this connector and found a serial bus with constant packet transmissions. I believe if I simply disconnect it, I will get a DTC for "ODS communication error."

I am attempting the same thing. Did you ever get any answers or a solution?
I have the seat belt, and airbag taken care of.
I am about to hook up a logic analyzer to the inside of the weight sensor to capture transmitted data.

I was someone figured it out.
I took the weight sensor apart and hooked a logic analyzer up to the pre transceiver side (micro side). I thought this would allow me to see the data I was interested in, and trigger off the response, in case there was other traffic on the bus. The data appears to be inverted, normally high (+5V), 10K baud. I see a byte every 200ms from the ECU, and the weight sensor responds with a single byte, after 100ms. Unfortunately my analyzer has a very shallow memory. I need to get a new DSO with serial decoding capabilities.

Did anybody knew the part number for this Weight Sensor ?
(especially for the GE Fit)...
I try to find the part number but could not find it,...
probably because it is integrated into the seat (or the seat rail???)...
I see someone selling this weight sensor on eBay but it is for GD...
maybe the GD and GE weight sensor are the same ???
EDIT:
Hmmm...
I think I got it for the GE Passenger side,
this part# 81169-TK6-A21 OPDS UNIT (this is the Control Module)
price around $515 !!!...
oh well, better just took it out from the factory seat then
Second Edit:
EDIT:
I found the answer,
We need to took out the OPDS Module/Control Unit on our standard seat (no need to buy a new one) and
then either take out the OPDS sensor Pad from inside the seat (our current seat back) (that support our back),
or bought a new Seat Back and take out the OPDS sensor Pad from that.
Then reconnect the OPDS Sensor Pad with the OPDS Module and connect the OPDS Module to the car wiring.
(the easy way is to put the OPDS Sensor Pad under the seat, or
the hard way is to integrated this OPDS sensor pad into the after market seat aka Recaro)
