Dash removal

I don't know if its just me, but the dash/ cd player deck is one of the worst to take off. The screws that hold the thing together are ridiculous to get out, and strip very easy. Not sure how I am going to finish the job since I cant get them out. Any suggestions?

TO get to the bolts that hold the stereo in place you
need to remove the glovebox and the plastic panel on
the left, then with a 1/4 socket and 12" extension
you can get it easily.

As stated, they are both a hex and phillips bolt, so use a socket to get them out. Once they are out you really dont need to put them back either, the clips will hold the dash in place just fine.

Thanks, ill try to finish it tomorrow. Not sure how I overlooked that, must have been pretty pissed lol.

Left my windows down yesterday and some retard tried to steal my OEM cd player. Dont think he knew it was part of the dash, and he ended up tearing it to pieces along with breaking the LED screen on the cd player.

t was funny as hell once I got the new one in, but I was pretty pissed at the time.

As an aside, after removing the panels to get to the HU, is the hazard switch accessible from underneath? I've read that the proper way to get to it is by removing the instrument cluster (and other folks have bunged up their A/C vents doing it an alternate way), but was curious if I could kill two birds with one stone here by doing my HU and switch at the same time. Thanks!
