Shack-Findlay honda Scratched up my dash!

Dashboard repair???
I had my stereo replaced since no sound was coming out.
They pried out the stereo with a screwdriver, and chipped
a piece of plastic and scuffed up the dash.
They don't want to replace the dash, they said they are calling in some company that goes around and does dash repair.
Anyone ever heard of such a service? Are they going to do body work on a plastic dash???

They are afraid of replacing it, they said they have done it before to other cars, and they would rattle all the time.
I'm afraid to, they may destroy my car even more!!
I don't know what to do.
I told them we can give their dashboard repair a try, before replacing the whole dash, and stereo bezel.
And if does rattle, and keeps rattling, I may qualify for a buyout under the lemon law!

Dash vinyl/leather/plastic repair is something that can be done. As long as a competent tech does the repair you will never notice where the damage used to be.
We have someone who does this type of repair for us (I work as a service writer for a Porsche dealer) and we dont get any complaints from our clients....
I would let the dealership attempt the repair before requesting a new dash. Think about it you will be without your ride for 2-3 days to a week. They may damage other items taking the dash out and installing the new one. All the items that have to e removed to install the new dash may rattle/squeak over time....

Well, I got my dash repaired, but it didn't look very good.
Its basicly body work. The paint didn't match very well either,
then they left all my dash parts loose and improperly installed.
They also sanded parts of the dash, changing the factory texture
to match the repair they did.
plus some new scratches.
Well, they ordering me a new dash!
I really didn't want a new one, but had no choice, dash is all tweaked!

Looks like history repeats itself. Service departments at US Honda dealers don't seem real good.

What to do???
I went to pickup my fit today, with a new dash.
When I inspected the work, I found new scratches in the dash
around the stereo opening. Left side of the dash is all loose.
And found left over parts in the back seat.
The said they will try to fix the looseness & reinstall the parts,
but they are going to replace the dash again, that they have lost
enough money...
What should I do? I've already been w/o my car for 2 weeks now.
My car came in with no damages, and I expect to leave the dealer w/o any damages, is that asking to much?
Will honda help any???

Is it really that hard to understand? You shouldn't blame anyone but yourself by having the same service department continue to work on your car. You Should have call Honda, explain the situation and have them authorized another service department to replace the dash.
