does a dash mat absorb sound? Does it make the car a little quieter? Please no speculation. Please answer if you have one or have been in a car with one.

 

I have one in every car we own. They do not reduce road noise nor make the cabin quieter.

They do however reduce the glare from your dash, and it is a large dash on the Fit, reduce heat absorbtion of your dash, and protect the dash from damaging UV rays that can discolor and crack it.
