Rubber insert not inserted

I notice that the rubber insert tray above the pass. glove box seems to be peeling away from the plastic dash. I can't tell if it was glued or not but it is pinned to the dash mechanically. The edge of the rubber is bending and warping a little out of the dash and it is something that I can't remember if it was like that from the beginning or not, but its bothering me.
I might be picking at the small stuff but its not the fit and finish quality I am used to in a Honda and it seems, besides the bumpers, not as quality of fitment as everything else in the car. Just asking if anyone else sees this in their fits.

Ill try to get a pic in later

yes that piece is removable. I have taken mine out once b/c my sister left a pack of gum there and it melted into that tray. You have to lift the rubber up from the back (to remove it from the pins) and slide it forward and remove it. I think one of the rubber pins has fallen out of its hole.
