AT Short Shifter

So anyone have an idea about how to make the gear selector on auto fits about 2 inches lower? It sits a bit tall to me.

Ideally i would like to make it look like this:

The GTR look... low profile and sleek
Post pics of your auto shifter if you have done mods

I was gonna replace it with a ball-shifter but the diameter was roughly 14-15mm iirc.

Haha tighttt I'd love something like that. Actually I'd like anything other than the OEM one 'cause it has the damn Fit logo in the middle that I don't want (swapping emblems for red dots; could color it in but nahhh) and it gets sooo hot after parked at school.

Interested on this one as well. I was wondering if we can cut the the tube as well as the needle inside it (the one that we press to change from D to R etc.).

Some thing like that would be awesome, I have thought of it too but have no idea how to go about doing it.

all the aftermarket auto shift knobs i've found online are weird and/or not sleek. Basically there are two options:
a.) modify the existing shift knob to sit lower (through cutting, etc)
b.) retrofit a shift knob from another honda that has the button.

I'm going to take a better look at these options this weekend. I may try to see if the shifter off of an auto 2007 civic would work. It is shorter overall, so it might offer a countersunk effect.

x2, cause that is not a "short shifter". I guess these users have no idea what a "short shifter" even is.

Well its a shifter that is short compared to stock, so I guess it would be called a short shifter...what else would you call it?

yeah a short shifter in an MT actually makes the throws shorter.
people often get it mixed up with just shortening the shift knob (which kind of makes it shorter)
well whatever, it's auto so it's kind of impossible.

but i agree the auto fit's shifter sits WAY too high
