Help! Indash nav install

So i just bought the Pioneer f900bt and it came with two extra wires i dono where to connect. The manual says the pink cable is the car speed signal input and the violet white strip says its a reverse gear signal input. Do these wires actually need to be used and if so what and where do i connect them to?

vehicle speed sensor location..definatly connect this.

the reverse wire can be de-pinned or just taped off and not used, unless you have a back up camera. if you have a back up camera, use the sam turn on source that you used for the back up camera. wihtout having a wire diagram, the easiest wire to use for this would be to use the power wire that goes to the reverse bulb.

for future reference...www.avic411.com has ALOT of info about pioneer head units.

when the radio is out rach forward and left in the dash ....under near where the gauge cluster cover meets the actaul dash...there is a flat area that i double stuck taped (or maybe it was a peice of metal it is magnetized to...cant remember) the antennae to. works great. just reach your hand in that general area and you should be able to feel the area im talking about.

hopefully that makes more sense as your sitting in front of the radio, lol.

Hey NIGHTHARKSI, you wouldn't mind posting picture of your AVIC-D3 so I can see. I am curious to see how the unit looks. Thanks
