ok so when i bought my fit last week it came already with kenwood dvdnavi HU BUT, the only thing was that radio reception sucked. it went out COMPLETELY today so i decided to open her up and see what was going on. i saw something like this

my question is...what exactly is that blue wire for? i read that its"power antenna" but whats that mean? when ever i grabbed it, i got perfect reception but as soon as i let go, nothing. also my dumb@ss cut it not knowing theres some sort of fiber optic wire inside middle of the black wire and that didnt help, good thing is, i have another on the way. does anyone have suggestions on how to improve radio reception? is this a known problem with aftermarket radios on the fit

 

the blue wire, power attena is if you have a power antenna, like on integras, accords.

 

Thanks chris +rep .. so if pretty much if i wanted to swap antennas for something power, thats the wire that would power the motor right?
now do you think i could improve the kind of reception im getting cuz right now its horrible and i have no idea why. i think it might have something to do with the harness in my original post but im not sure

 

do you have a aftermarket antenna? IE Spoon? mine gets horrible reception... but then again so did my oem antenna.
