Exclamation Help!!!! I need help installing subs

Hey guys I just purchased my 2010 Honda fit sport I recently had 2 12' jl audio subs in my grand am today I cut the box in half and re carpeted it I just want to insatll one sub I have the amp wires and equipment and the general knowledge to install em into an aftermarket head unit but I'm keeping my HU stock so how would I go about installing them to a door and where is a good place to find a ground also I have a 1000 watt amp is the battery to small to even power that. Is it possible for any one to post a walk through for the install. P.s. The car rocks!!

i could be wrong but i don't think you would be able to install the amp and sub without getting the aftermarket head unit. Any metal part on the car can serve as a ground. If its painted, just sand it down to the middle to make the connection better. As for power, you could always go with a separate battery to power the sub, or even both. A capacitor could also be used for power issues.

I'm doing that too, the signal from the HU to the amp needs to get "just" the signal and not the amplification from the HU.
To do this a LOC80 is wired between the rear set of spkrs and the amp. shaun954 told me about this and this W.E.
I'll be wiring all this together.

Where can you get a 4ga power through the firewall to the battery?

just hook it up normal and use a high to low converter. they are like $20 run the amp just like you would be useing a aftermarket headunit. splice the high to low converter to the rear speakers and run a small set of rca wires to it it really that simple!
the only hard part is finding out what color wire it is caue i know the gd3 it blu/pnk,pnnk and if i remember correctly the other side was green? thats how mine is set up!
