I am getting some speakers and a amp for em but wondering if I should keep the stock head unit cause i like it, but will I not get sound if I dd speakers and amp with just a stock hu. thanx

 

They WILL work, but if you want to be able to adjust the sound more precisely, you should probaly consider a new HU. But running the amp to the speakers should grant you ability to adjust via the gains too, either way, you can always upgrade your HU later

 

You can do that but sound quality wise it will not sound as nice as with an aftermarket hu.
