Bt35-hon
#2
I don't know how late this is, but I was doing research on this also, and at the price that the BT35 is asking for, I just upgraded the whole head unit to one with Bluetooth for $120..
Is there a reason that you would just install this unit versus upgrading the whole stereo receiver?

Sports Fit Stock Radio, Sirius Module and BT35-HON
I just bought a 2012 Honda Fit Sport with the stock radio. Even though it doesn't come with XM or Sirius, the Sales rep and I talked and he threw it into the deal and said they would install it for me. The stock radio has a plug in the back for XM or Sirius. I talked to a rep at Best Buy about an after market Hands-free Bluetooth and what they had was stupid and expensive. So we looked at Crutchfield: Car Stereo, Speakers, Home Theater, LCD TV, Digital Cameras and found the BT35-HON which connects between the stock radio and the Sirius plug. The BT35-HON unit can be secured with Velcro and zip ties under the dash and run the microphone cable under the rubber gasket along the door panel and you're all done! It comes with an instruction sheet and what control to use to cycle and answer calls. I ended up spending about $160 for the unit. I'll add pictures of the unit fully installed. Nice thing is that it blends with the car and you'll never know there's Bluetooth on board...unlike all the other write ups I've read in this ICE forum about drilling, hardwiring, making their own metal brackets and using duct tape to mount the unit to the dash! What's that all about????

I just installed one...
I installed the BT35-HON in my 2010 Fit Sport this week. It took about 40 minutes from beginning to end. It does what it was intended to do, but I am a little disappointed with the fact people are saying I sound like I'm in a tin can when talking to them on my iPhone. I also had called into a work teleconference while driving down the PA turnpike (about 70mph with a little wind). Although I usually mute my iPhone when I'm listening to the conversation, I chose to keep my iPhone unmuted. In less than 30 seconds, someone else who called in complained of roadnoise/cutting out on their end, so I muted it. I am probably a little more down on this product as I had a Sony xplod BT3800U installed in my Escort prior to owning this car, which came with an optional mic that I purchased and installed (same location as I have the BT35 mic in my Fit....adhered on the glass where the windshield meets the ceiling to the right of the driver's sun visor...the Sony mic used a clip). My experience with the Sony BT was fabulous. I think it comes down to the fact that BT that is integrated into the stereo unit is almost always going to be superior than add-on BT modules like the BT35.
I now have to decide if I want to purchase another one of these units for my wife's '05 Odyssey OR buy an aftermarket stereo w/BT.
I am considering relocating the mic closer to my face to hopefully cut down on road noise, there just aren't too many choices on the dash for where that mic could go.

Sorry to bring this thread back up,
I've been searching and cannot find my answer. Does the BT35 work in the GD3's?
I've got an 08 base with this radio
Just wondering, I've been wanting something to listen to Pandora or music thru my phone. The FM transmitter has already screwed up my headphone jack on my Note 2.
