Speaker wires for front component speakers?

When you guys instal component speakers up at the front I assume you probably run new wiring first to your crossover, and then to the tweeter and woofer components. Am I right?

Assuming I am correct, how easy is it to route the new speaker wire to: (a) the tweeter (stock location on 2013 Fit Sport); and (b) through the door to the woofer? Also, where do you tend to mount your crossovers?
