Weak dash paint?

I noticed the other day that where my radar detector cable runs across my dash that it looked as if the plastic was leaving a residue on the dash. I got out some Goo Gone...BAD IDEA*...and a towel and tried to gently wipe off the supposed residue. Turns out that the residue was actually the underneath plastic and that the paint was rubbing off. the two places where I "tried" to clean are now two unsightly shiny silvery spots. I armor alled the entire dash and it looks nice but those to spots....SO

What are my options?

I figure I can:
A.) Buy a new dash...last resort.
B.) ask the dealer about questionaly paint quality...an issue not strange for this car
C.) have it taken to a professionaly paint shop and primed and painted in some aestetically pleasing manner.
D.) get a couple stickers or a dash kit of some kind to cover them?

if you need pictures to better understand my plight just ask I'll be albe to have them up in, at most, a day.

my baby

(*DON'T KNOW WHAT THE HELL I WAS THINKING I WAS REALLY TIRED OR SOMETHING)

Seems like I remember someone else talking about this happening to them.
Its worth running it to the dealer, the worst they can do is decline it.

Is the dash actually painted? Or did you discolor the plastic?

I'll get some pix up tomarrow for ya'll.
"FUNNY" thing is that I'm taking it in friday to have the peeling bumper paint looked at...I guess I'll tally this up on my sh!t list for them to look at.

1. Bumper paint
2. Dash paint
3. skippy squealing wipers
4. headlights tooo low

Little things...yes ...but annoying little buggers they are.

I have the same roblem. My XM Radio cables rubbed on the dashboard and the coating wore off (The shiny part of the dash, not the textured stuff).
