Question BROKEN FOG light lens questions and protections

Got a Fit Sport with the fog lights,just over 1500 miles and both foglihts are broken,stones from cars in front. Any body know of any stoneguards made for the Fit,before I replace the lights? Thanks in advance for any help on this. Bill

They don't have a pre-cut kit for the foglights yet, but I ordered 2 pieces of 4 x 6 in yellow today for my Fit. If you are ordered a few different pieces, call Christopher Wadle @ 866.632.6182 and tell him Jeff (jdmparts@gmail.com) referred you. You should be able to get a discounted price, I did. I got shipping & handling waived and also a discount on all the pieces I ordered.

yeah, you can do what he said ^
buy a small piece and cut it yourself. The foglights are small enough that you can just hand cut the pieces.

Just for kicks, check with the service guys at your dealership. When I've had my fog lights kicked out so early in my car's life, they've replaced them for free. That also lets Honda know that there's a deficiency in the design (i.e., easy to break).

Thanks for the responses,looks like I'll make something,figured this being on the road in Europe and Japan for a while there might have been something available already. At 194.oo dollars per side I won't let it happen again. Any body seen the Honda acc kit for foglights? Wondering what color the outer housing is on those. Thanks Bill

How difficult / how long was it to install the kit. I see they have both the Headlamp and Fog Light available but it lists the difficulty as "Experts Only". I was just curious on the actual difficulty of the install.

it is really simple i was surprised at how easy it was, the hardest part is disassembly, i pulled the foglights out of the car (1 screw) then out of the housings(2 screws) then applying the film was nothing, i actually would reccomend ordering sheets and cutting to fit, i payed $12 or so for the precut, cut to fit is only like $3 or $4, there film is 40 mil thick too alot thicker than the others on the market

help me understand this, stoneguards? Never had foglights before and did not know there was a problem. Is this a frequent occurence or preventive type of thing? How often does it occur?

Let me try using ASCII art to describe this...

----------------------------rock--other car's wheels- fit foglight-wheel
_______________(___)________.____(__)____________o ----(_)

---other car runs over & kicks up stone----flying rock--- foglight-wheel
___________(___)____________(___)______->__________o ----(_)

oh no the rock is going to hit
-> o ----(_)

Broken foglight
X ----(_)
