Fit Sport 1st time AutoX

Well I took the Sport out autox today. first and last one of the season for the fit.

This is my third autox ever. it is a short course. got a little confusing as there were no lines for the course.

it was a short slalom, large right hand sweeping turn, short slalom, then an inside loop followed by another short slalom,

first run I got lost in the inside loop and turned too soon.
second run I got a 40 something secs with a one cone violation.
third time I got lost again haha so ran a little off course
fourth and final run was my best time of 38.880 secs

Some of the other veteran autoxers were getting close if not more than that. Like I beat this old BMW M5 running on blizzak snow tires

But the FTD (fastest time of the day) was a competition between a suspension modded Evo8 that is stripped empty. And a WRX STI

it was 31.3 something.

I was pretty please with my time for running H-stock class. I was using my volk ray te37 on kumho ecsta asx 205/40/17

here is the video
YouTube - Honda Fit AutoX

And here is a picture I took across the street from the parking lot course. after the AutoX

Aw, forgot North Hills had an autox this weekend. I would have liked to go, but it wouldn't have mattered anyway since I had to paint the house. Looks like the weather held for you. Here (New Castle, PA) it rained most of the time. Come next year I'm really gonna autox the hell out of the Fit.

Awesome vid BTW!

just as i expected. it turned out great. the fit handles like a dream. I beat my friends in their street modified class Integra GSRs up until the last run which were about 1 sec faster. I know that my driving was a bit erratic and jumpy, if I smooth out my driving I can get a faster time.

one thing I wish the car had was a bit more torque to pick up and go when i slowdown. I will also need some better brake pads which I think will help a lot so i dont have to spend so much time slowing down.

Rmaghedon: they are 17"

also my friends said that when i cornered you couldnt see my sidewalls. they were crushed from the had cornering. but that might have just been an optical illusion as they were sort of far away and the parking lot had a gentle sloping camber to it.

what size 17, I now they have to be at least 45's but where you able to go with 205's. You didn't get any rubbing with the autox.

but remember, to prevent rubbing, u have to get the right offset when you buy your wheels .

autox looks like a lot of fun! i might consider doing that next season.
